I have the same problem as Pearl. I too payed well over the payment due every month. Two times I was late, once because it did not go through on the computer which I explained to them, alot of good that did! My rate doubled also.
This was my husband's account and he passed away.
I will have to take money out of my IRA to pay this off, but it will definitely be worth it. I have already shredded the card because I have not used it.

Your card sucks big time. I took advantage of one of your balance transfers and my rate went from 11.9 soaring up to 23.9%. I have written numerous letters and made several phone calls to try and get this outrageous interest rated reduced. Your company only ignores me. I can not afford to even keep up with the interest let alone the principal balance. This is theft at its best. Can't wait to get you out of my wallet.

Same problem as Pearl, Mike and Dan; good customer since 2000, have never been late, have a good FICO score and always pay more than the minimum. They did lower my rate 6 months ago from 29.9% to 26.99%, wow. I got this card after a bankruptcy brought on by my ex-wife and appreciate them giving me a card one month after it was discharged but I also curse the day I ever used the card.

My rate was raised from 11.99 to 28.9 because I was late twice in a year, even though I pay more than twice the monthly amount due. I explained that my mail got screwed up when I moved, and they didn't want to hear it. They refuse to lower it again, and I'm really screwed with this rate, but when I pay this card off I'll never deal with them again. 28% used to be considered loan-sharking. Now it's just good WAMU banking business, I guess.

I have the same situation as Dan. I called WaMu and asked them since i was of good credit standing with them to lower my Apr. The customer service rep. reply was this is the best we can do . This is the way it is. Welp, I transfered my balance and I no longer have to make outlandish payments to WAMU.. The card I transfered onto said that they accepted many of WAMU's customers . So WaMu you are doing yourself in or you need to better inform your costomer service reps. It is like a slap in the face for a good customer to be treated and taken advantage of when you have an account with WAMU. I will be closing my account. Thank You

I have three WAMU credit cards which I rarely use. My last bill was on card ending in 7226. Why would I use them when your APR is more than twice the 9.90% I pay on other cards. Based on my credit score,
rating and how I pay my bills, your rates are rediculous. I guess you feel that to charge high rates and get no business is better than being competative. Just thought you should know how a customer thinks. Thank you.
